Gabby considered the weekend to be a success. Earlier that night Gabby called David.  “I have a plan,” he told his friend.

“Good for you,” David replied, not the least bit interested as he cradled the phone with his shoulder and took a bag of blood out of the refrigerator.  He ripped it open with his teeth, breathing in the sweet smell of red and white cells.  Sweeter, if it was human blood.  Heather.  He poured the contents of the pouch into a mug with a smiley face on the side.
